It seems Manchester United’s pursuit of Arturo Vidal will keep rolling on for at least a few more days with Juventus reportedly handing Louis van Gaal a new deadline to get the deal done.
The Serie A giants were believed to have told United they would not entertain any offers for the midfielder beyond August 2, but according to reports in Vidal’s native Chile, that cut-off point has now been extended to this coming Friday.
Man United are thought to be readying a £40m offer for the 27-year-old as new boss Van Gaal looks to build a squad capable of returning to the Champions League after last season’s dismal performance under David Moyes.
